Buckeye Ridge Bernedoodles
There is no substitute for perfection.
Buckeye Ridge Guardians
At Buckeye Ridge, we believe that all dogs should have their own family to love. Our breeding dogs live in our house as family dogs and in the homes of local guardian families. Bernedoodles are social animals. They thrive in family atmospheres. The partnership with our guardian families allows us to breed in a home environment, without the use of kennels. Our guardian families get to enjoy the excitement of being a part of our breeding program, and see the offspring of their own guardian dog be placed with families across the country.
To be considered as a Guardian Home for one of our breeding dogs, we require that you live no more than 30 minutes from our home. It is necessary that you have physical fencing to provide a safe and secure environment for the guardian dog. You must own your own home, and have a schedule that will allow for your dog to not be left alone for extended periods of time. All dogs and pups placed in guardian homes must be indoor dogs, and never be left outside unattended. Guardians must also be willing to bring the guardian dog to us when needed throughout the year.
Guardian families are responsible for pet related care, including annual vaccines, feeding TLC dog food (or another dog food that we recommend), vet care, grooming, etc. When the guardian dog is in season, the guardian family is required to contact us immediately. Once she has been bred, she will remain with the guardian family throughout her pregnancy. Guardians will be compensated at a rate of $500 per sellable puppy.
Once the guardian dog has reached the end of her breeding career, she will be spayed and given to the guardian family, as their forever pet.
